Summer Success Camp

learn positive skills

Not the same old summer camp.

Are you one of those parents who sigh with relief when your child or adolescent leaves for your typical summer camp? Do you wait with trepidation for the day your child returns home, knowing he or she will bring chaos back into the household? Do you hope against hope that your child will return with a better, more positive attitude?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, your child might greatly benefit from a Behavior Summer Program as an alternative to traditional summer camp.

We emphasize responsibility, self-examination, and the learning of positive skills to help a troubled or behaviorally challenged child better perform in school and with peers and family members. Positive peer pressure replaces the negative pressure children experience at school. The structured, highly supervised environment enables children to safely explore their issues, build self-confidence and reach their potential to become leaders.

How do these programs differ from traditional summer camps?

Don’t Waste
Summer Vacation

Parents who are beginning to see the signs of behavioral and emotional problems in their children have an excellent opportunity to get their kids back on track during the summer vacation. This Summer Camp is an alternative to most summer camps, and can help your child develop new skills and behaviors. The summer is the perfect opportunity for parents to avail themselves of a unique program designed to help children find themselves in relation to their world, and learn more responsible behavior.

This Camp is a program that can help children with self-defeating behaviors. This intensive program can quickly reduce the issues your child is experiencing to get him/her on a positive life path.

This Camp is a program that can help children with self-defeating behaviors

This is not your “Kumbaya” summer camp. It’s a Behavioral Camp! It’s tough, so that your kids will appreciate what they have, and appreciate you when they return. At this camp they will learn that life isn’t always fair and that they’ll have to work for what they want in life. Play is determined by the child’s behavior. When the rules are followed, the children are rewarded.

If you think what we do is to tough for your child now, do nothing for another year and see where you are with the behavior. But, if you are to the point of being sick and tired of the out of control behavior, lying, and disrespect, we are just what you are looking for.

I have reviewed The Parent Help Center's materials, and observed their live support calls as well as their 24/7 Facebook group. The unique combination of written materials, live interaction, and online chat creates a wraparound sense of support. As a clinical psychologist, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of these resources. I'm also struck by Mr. Glenn's measured, knowledgeable, and extremely practical input for parents seeking a no-nonsense, very structured, loving approach to help kids as young as six years old or as old as seventeen years old to develop the character and skills they need for success in life. The program recognizes the inherent strengths of strong-willed children while also emphasizing that those strengths will only reach their full potential if the child learns to respect authority and develop self-discipline. I highly recommend this program!

The Parent Help Center has made a huge impact on our family. I have three children. My middle one has been obstinate since day one, where the other two are rule followers. It’s frustrating isn’t it? You raised them all the same! Nothing you try seems to work! It’s complete madness, desperation and exhaustion trying to stay ahead of this little monster that you love with all your heart. You feel alone and no one understands what you’re actually living through at home. Mr Glenn knows this, Ms Sheila and Mr Denver too. We have spent nearly two years with this family of parent helpers. It’s not just your kid that needs to change, it’s you too. You have to parent this one different and I learned what I needed to do to change things. We are having success and my home today is so much better than two years ago. It’s still a work in progress because they are kids and we are human. They don’t think like we do. If you will commit to this lifestyle and remain consistent - it will make a difference. I wish I knew about this help center many years ago and we would be further along in this journey. But just know that if you need Mr Glenn he will be in the car and driving to North Carolina and even California to help you. I’ve experienced it. With Gods love, your commitment to save your family , and the team at the parent help center you will succeed. It’s not an overnight fix. I go to weekly support meetings online. I go to weekend camps when my kid is feeling froggy and breaks a house rule. Show your child how much your committed and be consistent. Don’t give up! It will get better and there are many families who will support you in your journey to finding peace and offer wonderful suggestions.

Mr. Glenn is a great man and a true marine. He's there only to help your kids improve their behavior. As a former graduate of this camp in summer of 2017, I have nothing but good things to say about this place, and the lessons that were taught here will forever stick with me. Thank you, Glenn and Sheila, for what you do for families and the youth.

This was an excellent experience for my son - one he won’t soon forget. The staff were great and many lessons were learned! He was better off afterwards than he was going in! He has since graduated high school and now enrolled in technical school for Cybersecurity! He doesn’t take things for granted like before and although it didn’t happen overnight, his attitude did change for the better. This isn’t a quick fix and the parents must work the program when the children go back home. This method worked for us and we are grateful for everyone at the Parent Help Center!

I’m going to start with a little back story: My son has been working this summer mowing a few neighbors yards and getting paid for it! He has had many complements and has been working hard!! Last night we went to a Christian concert in our hometown, Colton Dixon! My neighbor mentioned going with us but didn’t give us a definite answer at the time and so he kept asking me all day if she decided if she was going with us or not! I finally texted her and let her know that he really wanted her to go and hang out with us! (She is actually my friend/his friends mom! Just a really great lady) Talyn was paid from a few of his mowing jobs and decided to take his money with us to the town fair and concert. (Which I actually had no idea he had his own money to take). He bought a funnel cake just for us with his own money! (He clearly knows the way to my 🤍! 🤪) and then before the concert they announced that they were going to take donations for “Operation Christmas” (where they provide Christmas for the children in our community for families can’t afford it) They came around with the donation baskets and HE USED $20 OF HIS OWN MONEY! 🥹🥹 He has always had the biggest heart but was lacking the self confidence to know his own worth which led to frustration and bad decisions. I just wanted to take a second to thank TPHC and all of the staff for helping my son realize his worth and for helping my husband and myself become better parents! Between summer camp for him and the weekly support calls for us that provides constant reminders on patience and parenting in different situations, I am forever indebted. I receive a text from my friend last night after we dropped her off! 🤍 People notice and comment on what an amazing child he is! Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOUUU! You saved our lives and you saved my child! You helped us in more ways than you know!

The Parent Help Center was a very important part of our journey to understand and discipline our difficult son. The companion course for parents was essential to getting my husband and me on the same page and more consistent. Our son hated every minute of camp, which was especially due to certain staff who lacked empathy (perhaps no longer with the camp). Glen and Sheila clearly have a heart for the struggling teens, and they taught me critical basic concepts, like 3 days is an eternity to a teen. I do not believe that the staff member who turned a deaf ear to my son's complaints of noise sensitivity and fragrance sensitivity (calling him a liar) reflects the camp leadership. I respect and appreciate the Ellisons. Furthermore, our marriage and family desperately needed the one month reprieve that camp offered. We struggled to fully benefit from the follow up resources due to the dependency on Facebook, so we lost contact (I hope they've expanded beyond Facebook since 2020). Despite our imperfect execution of the empowered parent course following camp, it became very obvious to us that something was not coming full circle with our son regarding behavior and consequences. Without Glen and Sheila, we never would have improved our parenting enough to recognize the signs of developmental delays. Thanks to this program, I was able to recognize the need for learning evaluations and therapy for our son. It wasn't a magic solution for us, but I'm so grateful that The Parent Help Center got us and our son on the right track to recognizing the real root cause of his out of control behavior. Over the following 2 years after camp, we uncovered multi-sensory processing disorders, food sensitivities, chemical sensitivities, and chronic inflammation and hyperexcitability of our son's brain. These were only apparent to us AFTER the empowered parent course and success camp. I'm grateful for their part in our journey! Three years later, we have a delightful young adult who respects his parents (mostly) who still struggles to be independent but generally holds himself accountable and has never been arrested.

Our family of 5 is doing better after Success Camp and continuing parent support. None of us is perfect, but there is much more peace in our home, less yelling and outbursts, and we as parents have much better tools and support to parent with.

If you are at all considering The Parent Help Center as a possible solution for your misbehaving child, stop considering and just go! My wife and I wish we had gone YEARS ago! It didn't take but a couple of minutes after arriving for us to understand that we were in good hands with people that truly care about helping children and parents both, to help get families back on track. We were living a nightmare for several years, and after spending time at TPHC, we are already feeling relieved. Mr. Glen and Mr. Denver are two individuals that will truly care about your child's future, and they know exactly how to get the child's attention and address the issues that are going on in your household. Matter of fact, there is not a single staff member that wasn't helpful and concerned. No one is there because they just need a job. Everyone there truly cares and listens. After years of visiting different doctors, therapists, and being prescribed way too many medications, we never got anywhere. That was the wrong path. All it took was ONE WEEKEND and my 15 year old son already has a new outlook on life and family, and with the skills and plans that Mr. Glenn and Mr. Denver have taught us, I know we can keep our son moving in the right direction. I guarantee that my family was not going to survive much longer had we not found TPHC. We are truly thankful to Glenn, Denver, and everyone else involved. This is a one of a kind organization.

Very grateful to the whole team at Parent Help Center because it was obvious they all have the same interest at heart which is to have our kids thrive and to see our families do better. It wasn’t a place where staff is just working so the day can pass, but actually concerned for every single child and parent involved. I am especially thankful as well that it’s in my hometown, JAX, because I may not have been able to travel like other parents who flew in from Texas, drove from Kentucky, etc. so it was definitely a huge blessing for my family. Thank you Glenn for having this vision and executing it because you have definitely blessed many families and thank you for selecting the best team of workers and volunteers to work with as well.

The new movie to be released soon called "Success Camp" explores broken families and how to overcome trials within the family structure. The camp educates the parents and children how to manage their differences and learn to show love and respect for one another. It is a deep reaching story giving families hope, strength and a God centered foundation for success!

We found The Parent Help Center over a year ago. We were at our wits end trying to find a solution for our strong willed teenager. He was failing half of his classes in school and barely passing the other classes. He was disrespectful to us and other adults and didn't do what we asked him to do around the house. Many of the camps we found were very expensive and were several months to even a year long commitment. We wanted a solution, but also wanted something that would work for our family. We found the information online about Mr. Glenn and his camp. Our teenager attended the 30-day camp that summer. We also attended the weekend parent training to learn what we as parents needed to change. It was eye-opening to learn that we were the main problem and we could fix it with the information they provided. Since then we have consistently implemented the life-style changes we learned about and our teenager is a changed person and so are we as parents. He is excelling in school with A's and B's and understands the plan we have in place for rewards and consequences based on his behavior. I would highly recommend The Parent Help Center to any family struggling with a strong-willed child.

"Success Camp" is the Jacksonville behavior camp that my daughter and I attended when she was 15 years old. 75% of their focus is on training the parents how to take back control of their home. Their motto is, “Changed Parents will See Changed Kids". My daughter and I attended the weekend family building camp, and then she stayed for a 30 day camp. This is the only behavioral camp where they have the parents stay at the camp for the weekend so that the parent can learn the skills necessary to take back control in their home. These are good kids making bad choices. They teach the kids RAW: Respect, Anger Management, and Work Ethic. I can’t tell you how much this lifestyle changed my home from walking on eggshells to peace! Because of the lifestyle changes they teach, over time our relationship went from volatile to loving and respectful. It took my daughter about 4 months after camp to realize that I had changed my ways and this was our new life. If you follow their coaching you WILL be successful in bringing peace back to your home. Even though she is now 21 years old, I still volunteer out there once a month to help the scared/nervous parents who are arriving to camp with their children. I help them with the transition of handing their family over to this lifestyle, advising them to "trust the process". I too was once in their shoes and was scared and bewildered with how it unfolds. I also give them encouragement to let them know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am forever grateful to the leaders Glenn Ellison and Sheila Ellison!

We attended the Weekend Success Camp with our 10 year-old. It has been a building experience for our child and for us. We attend the weekly parent support meetings, which have been a great blessing for us. We feel very supported by Mr. Glen, Ms. Sheila, Ms. Erin, Mr Denver, and the parents that join weekly. We have seen a great difference in our child since they attended camp. We have a good child with a good heart, but at times will make poor choices. For any parent who needs guidance as they may be struggling with a strong-willed child, especially these days when our children are pressured by so many influences, peers, social media, electronics, bullying in school, etc, you will find lots of resources here. It is a lifestyle that we follow every day, but it is life-changing. We have seen our child turn around and we are very grateful for it.

I am very familiar with The Parent Help Center since I've known Glenn Ellison for over 40 years, so when one of my "good" grandchild started talking back to his Mom, my daughter, I thought it would be a good idea to take him on a day trip to Glenn's camp. He sat very politely while he observed how camp worked. He saw unruly, impolite kids, out of control kids, and downright rebellious kids act and what life in a camp like this shows how good he has it at home. It had a very positive impact. He told me on the way home that he did not like it there. I told him that if he didn't change the way he treated his Mom, I would be bringing him back not just for a day, but for a month. He's a different kid now.

⭐️"Just wow!"⭐️ in the absolute best way possible, that's the short version of this review 🤩 Our family was at our wit's end with the behavior of our youngest son. He was literally controlling our home by constantly creating chaos and making our daily life as hard as he could. We arrived at the Parent Help Center about 2.5 months ago with a whole bunch of hope, but had tried so many things before that deep down we weren't sure if this was going to help us either. (That's the reason for the lengthy time from the beginning of this program to finally writing this review, lol!) Immediately upon arrival at the camp we could tell that this program was going to be different. I could write a short story about our family's journey over the last few months, but I want to keep it to the point. This program is an entire family system with weekly support meetings and the option to always have in-person support if you need it, and that's why it actually works. And it will work for ANY family that is willing to stick with changing their old habits that aren't working in for a family plan that puts peace in their family. 💕 For real! We now have confidence in our parenting, instead of always second-guessing if we are doing the, 'right thing,' which led us to constantly changing up our game plan. This program has been successful for 21 years, and they've gotten really good at teaching you how to do it successfully in your unique family situation. We are still learning and changing our old habits at this point, but now we have the knowledge and support at our fingertips to be able to handle any situation that our son tries to throw at us with a calmness and confidence that was definitely lacking in our house before this program. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and go through this program when I was pregnant with my first child, because this is the missing, 'owner's manual,' that should come with every new baby! 😂

I just had to post a review to say THANK YOU! We have been really working the plan this last month of summer after our son returned from the summer success camp. After our weekend camp back in April, the elementary school really supported us with the daily check system. Moving to the middle school, we were worried with 6 teachers, some may not be as excited. We took a letter to each teacher, the guidance counselor, and principal at meet the teacher and explained the work we put in over the summer and the program we are following. Everyone was very supportive and signed our “notebook” daily these first three days of school. But, even better, I got a text from a parent our son went home with…and got a call from one of his teachers to tell us how amazed she was with his manners and ability to pay attention. Last year I would cringe every time the school called. This was a very different phone call to start the year. We are grateful! Find that currency that matters! We have found food and his bed so far. Another of his started Friday…he really wanted to play football…and he is earning it. Thought you would like this video Mr. Glenn. He has never played. You can see him playing safety in the back and one of the coaches coaching him through his first play. He may have missed that tackle at the end, but he is earning those plays. I know we will have bumps in the road, but we are so grateful for the peace in our house right now! I recommend anyone being challenged with behavior outbursts seek out the Parent Help Center!

We attended the weekend success camp with our 15yr old in June and that weekend was an eye opener for us. We realized how much fault we had in the way our son was behaving. The weekend was spent talking with other parents that were going through or have went through the same things we were. It was very hard for us to leave him for the month long summer camp but I am so glad we did. The day we got home we began working on our plan and getting our house ready for when our son came home and I am so glad we did because he was not the same kid that we left. He has been home 2 wks now and our house is completely different. While he was at camp it gave a time to regroup and miss him and most importantly realize that we needed a change and we needed it now. We have a plan and as long as we stay consistent I know we will be successful. Our son put in the work and the parent help center gave us a plan and a much needed community of support. We don’t have many years left before he is an adult and I am so thankful and looking forward to enjoying our family time. Mr Glenn and Mr. Denver and the rest of the staff really made an impact on my son and they will always have a special place in our family.

I can not say enough good things about this place. The people who work here truly care, Mr Glenn and Shelia are a blessing. If you feel like you have done everything to try and help your boy, this is the place for you. Sometimes you don't realize that the way we have been parenting doesn't help the situation in which we find ourselves. Which is the reason you are reading this review right now... I was desperate, my son split between two homes, he was angry, impulsive, rude, disrespectful. You name it! The parent help center has given our family so much hope, we found a new way to parent with the help of TPHC and so far we are on a really great path. If you are having doubts, feel lost, dont know what to do to bring peace back to your family, please give this a shot, it was the best decision we have ever made for our son. Who is 10yrs old btw, the younger you can get your boy help the better off you will be. Thank you TPHC you are everything everyone else has said in these reviews. It's the reason I decided to give this a shot! So glad we did! Oh and the amount of pride and confidence he came home with was so wonderful to see. He now knows he can do anything given the right tools. We traveled from out of state to be here, it's that good.

The process of changing is not easy. I’m in the beginning stages of change. I just left the weekend success camp, leaving my 12 year old son behind to complete the 30 day summer success camp. Before I left I saw the beginnings of a changed boy. I was changed too because the parent I was before camp would have brought my son home with me. I spent the weekend realizing I have a lot of work to do. I have spent the last few years in a downward spiral feeling so helpless. Knowing my son was making bad decision after bad decision. Constant phone calls from the school. Fights and disgusting acts of rudeness and disrespect to his teachers. I knew it was happening because he was hurting inside and I had no idea how to help him. Thousands of dollars in therapy for years. No matter what I did, nothing seemed to help him and its breaking my heart. I was recommended by a friend to the parent help center and for the first time in a long time I have HOPE. I see a light and my even though I never doubted my son has the ability to do the right thing, I now know I have to be the change he needs and this place is going to give me the tools I need to make that a reality. All I can say is this place is a blessing and everyone with a strong willed child should know that there is hope.

We are still in the beginnings of camp but here is what I can tell you! I felt good leaving my child with them. It will be hard on us both but it’s a kind of hard that I was not able to implement on my own or at least not yet. I felt good about what was being fed into the heart of my child. It’s just the beginning but I am so grateful for the people God has placed in my child’s life. I will be sure to post again with results. Can’t wait!

Glenn and the team at The Parent Help Center changed our family. We have been struggling with a strong willed child(behavior issues, lying, laziness, bad grades, stealing, vaping, etc) and we began to research camps, boarding schools, etc at the advice of our therapist. We found Parent Help Center in Google search, and decided to enroll our son in the Weekend Success Camp at the Parent Help Center. 36 hours later, our son was changed. More importantly, WE THE PARENTS, were changed. This weekend camp was for our family, not just our son. We realized WE were the problem, and needed to change and get control of our house. Choices lead to Consequences. The takeaways are endless, and I can’t state enough how much this organization helped our family. We felt instantly this sense of family with everyone on staff. Parents of kids who have been through the camp were their to help and volunteer. Being able to hear of their stories and the success was amazing and gave us hope. We are excited for our son to attend the Success Summer Camp, and can’t thank them enough for their dedication in helping families find peace in their home.

I am very new at this and my son and I have only done one Weekend Success Camp but I can tell you that my house has been more peaceful since we went to camp then it has been in years. Instead of giving you my review, I thought it would mean more to tell you what one of his teachers has had to say about the whole thing. Here is the message I received today. Thank you for taking the time to type all of this out and share it with us. I have been wanting to get back to you all day. A’s morning and afternoon with me were amazing. I have never seen him so composed, polite, intentional, kind, and focused. I hope that continued throughout his day, and continues in the days to come. I have to commend you for all you are doing for your family! A special tidbit from today…I post on my morning message a “quote of the week” and keep it on my board all week. Usually something to hopefully inspire the kids. This morning in homeroom I realized I forgot to change it from last week, so I asked my homeroom if they had any suggestions. A raised his hand immediately and said “Be grateful for what you have.” So that is our quote for this week:) Keep up the great work. Proud of you both!

We just had our first "Weekend Success Camp" and I am feeling more hopeful than I have in a long time. After years of trying to control our now-ten-year-old son, we came across The Parent Help Center approximately one year ago. My husband and I felt like we had tried just about everything and were at our wits' end. The Parent Help Center offered us a glimmer of hope in what was a dark time for our family and a very trying time for our marriage. We desperately wanted to restore peace to our home. I am happy to report that after ten months of adopting The Parent Help Center's techniques and parenting plan and CONSISTENTLY implementing them, we have in fact restored peace in our home. We are helping our children, including our strong-willed ten-year-old, to make choices daily that exemplify respect, anger management, and a strong work ethic. The staff and volunteers at The Parent Help Center are caring, committed and qualified, and the amount of support they offer involved parents is remarkable.

The Parent Help Center is an experience and an organization like no other...it's definitely not a place for parents to park their strong-willed child for the weekend...rather, parents and their child are both actively engaged in the process...parents spend the entire weekend "in camp" just like their children learning a new parenting lifestyle based on love and rewards for appropriate behavior such as respect, anger management and work ethic. Camps are offered approximately every 30 days and last from Friday night to Sunday morning/afternoon The program is definitely not a "quick fix for your child" but rather a long-term program that requires non-stop, ongoing commitment and dedication from parents...it is truly a unique experience to see firsthand that even the most challenging children are able to behave during camp when the program's principles are applied. Remember, that results will not take place overnight and that starting to bring some "peace back into your home" may take months of very hard work on your part. The staff and volunteers go way, way, way above and beyond expectations when it comes to making sure that all of your needs as the parent of a strong-willed child are met...their extreme commitment is evident and infectious...when they say they are always available and there for you, believe them because they mean it...if you need them to jump on a video call at any time to "check-in" with you or your child" or take a road trip to your house to escort your kid to camp, they will do just that...I have witnessed it firsthand...weekend camp is tough for everyone involved...but, the staff works harder and sleeps less than anyone... In addition, you are not alone after you return home from camp...the staff offers weekly on-line group meetings every Sunday afternoon that are extremely helpful....the neat thing is that the staff really knows you and your child once you attend a weekend camp...so the group meetings are very personal and open to any questions you may have I haven't witnessed the summer camp but I know they offer a month-long program that children attend on their own and have heard nothing but great things about it If you have a strong-willed child who is impacting everything and anything in your life, I recommend that you contact the Parent Help Center for help today...I really don't think you will regret it...just be ready to put in lots of effort yourself if you want to see results. Happy to speak to you if you are interested...just ask the Parent Help Center to put you in contact with me Craig

We all know the expression that the nut doesn’t fall far from the tree. Well, I have a 10-year-old nut! He’s a good kid that makes bad choices. I feel like we’ve tried everything over the past 6 years with little to no success. My wife and I attending one of the monthly weekend camps with our son – searching for yet another solution. Well, our persistence has paid off. We were fortunate enough to meet Mr. Glenn and his team of dedicated and caring helpers that have begun to show us how to better parent our ‘strong willed child’. It is intense and real, but spot on. Their motto for the past 20 years has always been, “Changed Parents Will See Changed Kids.” They have a month-long summer camp for kids starting in June. I don’t know how much space is left, but our son will definitely be attending. Since attending our first weekend camp, I have become committed to this lifestyle and chose to volunteer every month to share my experience with other parents as well as continually work on improving my parenting skills. The truth is that I just enjoy being around these people. Every now and then, we all come across some people in our lives that we feel are true ‘difference makers’. Mr. Glenn and his team have a gift and my family and I are very grateful to have found them. I can go on, but will simply encourage you visit their website, share with your friends, and experience a weekend camp for yourself.

If you looking here, chances are you are desperate to find help! The overwhelming feeling of defeat and the loss of control and peace in your household has reached it's boiling point! We found The Parent Help Center just in time...time to save our son from the bad decisions he was making as an adolescent and saved our family from the self destruction this causes. We will be forever grateful to the Glenn Ellison and the entire staff at The Parent Center for their commitment and love to our family and for teaching US the ways to be better parents!

Not long after adopting our two children we began to realize that the older one had already developed habits and behaviors that were destroying the relationships he had with friends and family. After many severe outburst involving self harm, lying, stealing, and disrespect for any authority we were tired, defeated and felt like we were out of solutions. All the therapy, behavior plans, and books we had read that were provided by the adoption agency made behaviors worse and caused our son to have a entitled attitude. We finally found the Parent Help Center at just the right time. After our son spent a month at summer camp and we began the parent training we finally had hope again- hope that has been rebuilt through the amazing support we receive from the leaders and other parents, the relationships that we have made along the way and for the first time since the adoption a plan that works to change behavior!

Mr. Glenn, Mrs. Sheila and all volunteers were and are simply fantastic! My son went to the The Parent Help Center summer Camp back in 2015 and the following year as a staff helper. The first weekend all us parents stayed on the grounds and observed how our out of control children started to learn respect, discipline and most important feeling positive. After we picked up our son a month later he shocked me and said "You know dad I now believe in miracles." For many years after that every week we went online with Mr. Glenn weekly Parent Meeting. We knew for this to work we had to develop a plan and be consistence with it, always showing our son love. Our son is now twenty two, over the last seven year years it's been uneven for him with some low points, the good news he's now working, has an apartment and living on his own. I know Mr. Glenn and The Parent Help Center have played a huge roll in getting the ball rolling! .

About four years ago I was looking for a camp or some place to keep my son busy during the summer. He was alway bored and oppositional and defiant. That year I wanted to make a difference. Every other camp made no difference in his behavior, but it kind of kept him busy. We had rules in our home and we loved our son, but it didn't seem to help. The Parent Help Center begins with the child learning what respect , anger management and work ethic means. It is not a boot camp or cruel in any way. The kids learn this in an atmosphere that has consistent and clear boundaries. They earn privileges and can become camp leaders potentially. Parents receive a book and videos to learn how to parent a difficult child. They learn to have clear boundaries, be consistent and always show love and affection. They learn that their behavior can escalate their child's behavior. They learn that they can't control their child's bad behavior, but that they can control their stuff and they can influence their child in a positive way. Parents also join a support group that they attend weekly and have real time support where they can reach out to other parents who can offer them hope, support and solutions to their problems. Mr. Glenn, who founded Parent Support, is always there for you as long as you are doing the work that helps your child. His wife Shelia is kind and loving to all the kids and you will know you are in the right place when you meet her. If you are unsure about this wonderful opportunity, then just call and talk to the person that answers the phone. That is what I did. You usually talk to another parent who experienced The Parent Help Center and you can request to talk to other parents and they can tell you what to expect. Your child is looked after well and he will not learn new bad behavior. These are not bad kids, they are just good kids making bad choices. Give them a call and you will have hope again and peace in your home.

We have been with this organization for 7 and half years with our two children. One was compliant strong willed, the other very strong willed and rebellious. Our marriage was on the edge of divorce. We applied and used principles that were taught and today, March 2022 our son graduated HS two years before his projected time based on performance and behaviors. We are so very pleased with his success. It was a lot of hard work, sweat and tears for sure but our family is worth it. Thank you, to all the dear friends we have made over the years through your organization. Best wishes to all.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mr. and Mrs. Ellison!! It is truly amazing what they are doing for families at The Parent Help Center. We went there because therapy alone wasn’t doing ANYTHING and I could never get in touch with her counselor so we felt so defeated and alone! We learned about TPHC from a police officer 2 days before they were having a monthly camp - talk about timing!! Everyone involved has THE biggest heart and loads of compassion to help your family regain peace in your home! NO counselor can do that quite like they can! We are eternally grateful AND will be involved to help somehow with this organization to show our appreciation for what they did for us! They deserve 10 stars in my eyes!

My daughter is a single parent. The parent help center has taken her two boys and taught them a better way to behave. My grand kids are happy, doing better in school, and showing daughter the respect she deserves. I am reading the book as a grandma working with the same key phrases my daughter uses. Like is it worth it? and Whatever it takes. The parent support she attends has been extremely helpful to her and relaxes her approach. 5 stars!!!

The Parent Help Center is a wonderful place. Be mindful though parents, it is not just for misbehaving children. They are also there to help teach us lost parents how to get control back and how to keep it. I feel much better armed to keep going with a positive can-do attitude and the support is continuous, not just during camps. Everyone who works at the camp really does care. They are all vested in the success of the campers. Many people you meet have gone through the program themselves and are volunteering to give back because it helped their families so much. The engagement of parents is key though. This isn't a one and done thing. It is a lifestyle change that parents have to make if they want to succeed. I'm thankful that we participated this summer, and this last weekend camp. I highly recommend you do it, parents, I know we will continue to be apart of this "family" for years to come.

“Glenn and his team saved my son many years ago. He was 16 and out of control and I was a single mom. I had lost hope that anyone could help me. I truly don't know where we would be if it weren't for The Parent Help Center. Life was awful for me. My 5 year old had melt downs daily. Everything was a major ordeal. It got to the point I couldn't even go to a restaurant for fear of being embarrassed. The ladies who worked the nursery at church hated to see us coming. That was then. Today, my little treasure has graduated high school (over a year ago), she signed up for nursing school, she works a full time job and she's doing good. Are things perfect? No, but what really is perfect. She has a pretty level head on her shoulders and that came from applying the principles I learned working with Glenn, Sheila and other parents just like myself. I highly recommend The Parent Help Center to all families.

This program is not meant to change your child's behavior. This program is meant to help you, as the parent, change your parenting style which is what got you to this point in the first place....that is a hard pill to swallow. Maybe you were inconsistent; too lenient; didn't enforce consequences...whatever it was, Mr. Glenn and his staff will empower you with the tools you need to be the parent your child needs- nurturing, loving yet assertive and determined. I struggled with my strong-willed child for years and I knew if I did not do something drastic, he may go down the wrong path. Best decision of my life. It will be hard. You as the parent are going to put all your effort into following the steps provided but I promise you that Mr. Glenn, his staff along with the parents who've been through the program will be there to empower you along the way. Your child will not want to come to camp because he is used to having things his way but sometimes tough love is for the best. He will not hate you for sending him there; no you are not a bad parent for considering this; and yes, your family dynamic can improve. The boys at camp are not abused, neglected or harmed in anyway. This is not a boot camp or a discipline camp. Every person at the Parent Help Center is determined to help your child be the best version of himself. I am forever grateful for Mr. Glenn, Ms. Sheila, Ms. Lynn and the rest of the amazing staff for giving my son the tools he needs to excel in life and for empowering me to not give in and fall into his manipulation tactics. It's not a miracle cure- we still have hiccups and hurdles but I promise it's worth it.

I researched The Parent Help Center for a couple of years before we made the decision to send our son. It was terrifying for me to send him away to be with strangers. I wish I would have known then what I know now after finally going through this summer camp experience. We are so grateful that our son didn’t miss out on this experience where he matured and grew so much personally and that we as parents were able to grow so much as well. We have learned more about being a parent and how to have a calm and structured family home in 30 days than in all our years of being a parent. The camp is full of amazing, dedicated, and inspirational people there to reset your child and jumpstart them into a new lifestyle. It is then up to the parents to continue this lifestyle and effective parenting methods to maintain a calm and structured home. If you are struggling and feel at a loss with parenting, get connected with The Parent Help Center. You are not a bad parent. If you are researching a way to help your child, then you are a good parent that wants the best for your child! In the end, it’s mostly about learning how to be a calm and consistent parent with clear positive and negative consequences to behavior. Incorporating what we learned from The Parent Help Center has changed our home, our parenting, and all of our children!

We have been with The Parent Help Center 4 years now and once we were devoted and consistent with parenting the way we learned and our children got the hang of it how peaceful, happy and loving life our family and life can be, they also realized that they get what they want once we get what we want. Our youngest aged 11 asked to go to the summer camp as he wanted to work in his way up to become a helper. Which means he has to proof him self first and has the “RAW” down to the T. Is it one of the the hardest things you might ever do, dropping your child off for 30 days at camp? Sure is, however something led you to this decision and it’s so “worth it” !!!

My son in 2015 went to the PHC summer camp. The camp is run by Mr. Glenn, who is a former Marine. He and his staff run it with military precision. His passion to help these strong willed children can not be understated. My son learned respect, to have a work ethic and confidence. I'll never forget when we picked our son up from camp he said to me "You know that I now believe in miracles." We saw reviews on Facebook of the Parent Help Center from people who clearly knew nothing about this organization personally. Our son attended two summers at the Parent Help Center. We spent a year on parent and family support phone calls and with weekly communication from Mr. Glenn and Ms. Sheila. They gave us tips to help our family function with so much more peace and hope. When dropping our son off for his first day at middle school last year, he was even quoting Mr. Glenn about how to best interact with peers and people. The respect and esteem our son holds Mr. Glenn in speaks to the kind of integrity, commitment, compassion, and high expectations that they have for the kids who are able to experience this. Now - does our son want to go back again? Nope! But the lessons we've learned have shifted the trajectory for his life.

Glenn and Sheila's dedication to the Parent Help Center changed our lives forever. We were desperate for help and running out of options. Their advice is so practical. The love they display for each child and family is unending. They were there for us when everyone else gave up. My parents told me to send my kids to military school, and thought there was no hope as we were going thru a divorce. My ex was supporting their disrespect for me and I felt hopeless. Then one day I pulled up to a stop light and there was a vehicle advertising The Parent Help Center so I called. After attending a weekend seminar, camp and parent classes, we started to see a change. My boys are now respectful, loving, hard working and kind. What I like most is that the process is inclusive of both parent and child, which once you go through the program, you realize it's the only way changes will be made. It really was the perfect fit for our situation and the people that work the program are fantastic! If your looking for a place that you send your child to and expect they will be "fixed" when they get home, this is not for you and quite frankly that won't work anywhere else either so save your money. You must be as committed to changing your child as you are in changing yourself, it's a lifestyle, all in or no win.

Last summer I was at my wits end with my 8 year old son who was disrespectful, hateful, had explosive anger fits, slammed doors, hurt other children, etc. I found the Parent Help Center and we attended together for one of the weekend summer success camps. I was not sure whether or not this was for me, but I prayed that God would guide me if this is what we were to do. I attended the Empowered Parent Conference while my son was in Success camp. We both learned so much but mainly I realized how much I was at fault for not being consistent. One year later my son has come so far - at home, at school, and socially. Granted he is not perfect and will be attending weekend camp this month as a refresher. If you are about to give up hope on your child - DON'T!! With love, determination, consistency and alot of support from this group, there is hope. I highly recommend them. They are loving people who truly want to help restore peace in your home.

We have tried everything with our adopted son; psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, IEP's at school, and contacting the local police. Nothing helped and our local agencies don't really care. The Parent Help Center offers help in the form of training for us, online classes, in person classes, camps for my son and support groups for after his camp for us. Absolutely, after being made guardianship of our two grandsons 3-1/2yrs ago, (boys then 5 and 11, ) at 65and 70 my husband and I experienced a new life change. We were at the end of our rope as what to do with our youngest. The camp was recommended by a friend at church. We were signed up for summer camp 21 days for the boys. I was very excited with the idea that finally, someone was going to fix him! Doctors nor meds did no good. The thought of some peace and quiet sounded wonderful. Boy did I get fooled. They wanted to work on me, Change ME! Can you believe it !!!!! ? Best thing that ever happened to me. I’m so calm now, I feel peace because I’m learning to control myself by becoming PRO-active and not RE-active. We have just started ,I completely understand that this is a lifestyle, we have a long way to go, however, We are determined to see this thing through, we have made a lot progress which is exciting, which makes me more determined.

It is also, through Camp Consequences, a great program for children to learn the discipline, accountability, respect for others and respect for themselves needed to be a productive and truly happy kid. Glenn Ellison has done a wonderful job with The Parent Help Center!

the staff are Angels

All I have to tell to any parent out there that is struggling at home with their kids, this place was a blessing to our home. We have struggled for years with our son. Our home was not in peace. We have try everything, therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, medication, home therapy you name it we did it. I came across this place online after giving up. This was a blessing to our home and my family needed this blessing. Mr.Glenn and his staff are angels that god send us to give us peace again and a new beginning.

We have a plan!

If we didn't know the book, have the training at camp and work the plan we'd be spending so much time arguing and wishing for a change. In this lifestyle, we hold firm and use the energy (that we used to exhaust) working the plan AND we still have time and energy for fun and positive affirmations for all!

Life Altering

“The experience at The Parent Help Center (TPHC) was life-altering for our 16-year old son and my wife & I. Mr. & Mrs. E****** and staff/volunteers really care about what they do. Our son was on a path of poor life decisions and with the help of TPHC he is was able to see more clearly that bad decisions lead to bad consequences while good decisions lead to good consequences.”

Waited 2 years before purchasing...wish I would have done this sooner!

Never Give Up

Mr. Glenn and The Parent Help Center....Where do I start? They give you Hope, when you have none. They give you a Plan, when your plan doesn’t work. They give you support, when you need it the most. They give you someone to call, when everyone else tells you there is nothing else they can do. Mr. Glenn is the most Dedicated, Hard Working, Tireless, Devoted, Willing to do “Whatever it Takes” man I have ever meet, who cares more about YOUR Child, then anyone you’ve ever meet in your life. As long as you, “Follow the Plan,” Attend Support, and Give your All, and NEVER Give up, Mr. Glenn will be there, No Matter What, Any Time, and Any Place! Needless to say, There aren’t enough words to describe how much I endorse Mr. Glenn and the Parent Help Center.

Lost

“When you’ve lost hope and you think there’s nowhere to turn…The Parent Help Center has your back. This organization has given me strength when I had none, offered me support on the hardest of days and has given me the tools I need to be a better parent for my kids. They’re teaching my son respect, how to control his behavior and what’s expected of him in this world. It’s a long road ahead to fixing our family’s problems but this is where healing has begun. If you need help with your problem child, you’ve found what you’re finally looking for.”
